We are thrilled to announce the return of the CAPEZIO Showcase as part of the 2026 Australian Tap Dance Festival! Designed to celebrate and showcase the artistry of tap dance, the CAPEZIO Showcase provides performers with the opportunity to share their passion, individuality, and creativity on stage in a supportive and inspiring environment.
This year, we are excited to invite past performers from Future of Tap – Presented by CAPEZIO (2022, 2023 & 2025) and previous CAPEZIO Showcase (2024) performers to return through direct entry opportunities.
This year at the CAPEZIO Showcase, we simply want to see you perform and celebrate your love of tap dance. Performers are welcome to present any tap dance piece they choose, whether that’s a fully costumed routine, an acapella performance, an improvisation piece, or something completely unique to you.
Our goal is to create a supportive and inspiring environment that celebrates the incredible artistry, creativity, and community of tap dance. The CAPEZIO Showcase aims to bring together dancers from across Australia to celebrate the tap community, connect with fellow artists, and perform as part of the festival experience.
We are excited to present select performers with gifts from CAPEZIO.
We would love for you to join us, whether it’s to perform on stage or to support and watch some incredible tap dancers. We can’t wait to see you at the 2026 Australian Tap Dance Festival and CAPEZIO Showcase!
Tickets will go on sale June 9.
2025 EVENT
Future of Tap – Presented by CAPEZIO as part of the 2025 Australian Tap Dance Festival!
Designed to cultivate a more authentic tap dance experience, Future of Tap provides a platform for dancers to showcase their artistry and passion.
Categories
This year, we are excited to offer two entry categories
● Self-Choreographed Performance
● Improvised Performance
Self-Choreographed Performance
Performers will be critiqued on their ability to craft a piece that showcases musical expression through tap dance. We want to see your unique artistic voice shine through your choreographic choices, with your music selection thoughtfully reflecting your intentions. This is your opportunity to create and perform a piece that truly represents your style, creativity, and connection to rhythm.
Improvised Performance
Closer to the performance, we will provide a selection of Jazz Standards for performers to choose from. Dancers will be evaluated on their ability to craft a performance in the moment—demonstrating their musicality, adaptability, and ability to both follow the structure and enhance the nuances of their chosen piece. This is a chance to showcase your improvisational skills and deepen your connection to the music through tap!
Age & Conditions
There are no age or skill level restrictions—Future of Tap – Presented by CAPEZIO is open to all dancers!
Our goal is to provide a platform for performers to showcase their tap skills in a supportive, non-competitive environment. This is an opportunity to share your artistry, connect with the music, and celebrate the essence of tap dance!
The only requirement to participate is booking a minimum of one masterclass at the festival. This ensures you get the most out of your experience by learning, growing, and immersing yourself in the festival alongside fellow dancers.
