What people are saying

My daughters enthusiasm for tap dancing has increased since the festival. It was an invaluable experience for her to learn from different teachers. She thoroughly enjoyed the Masterclasses and Residency. Watching the performances at the show was inspirational. The festival has opened her eyes to the possibilities of Tap and ignited a new determination to practice and perform.

I can honestly say I would not be the tap dancer I am today without the ATDF and the experiences and challenges it brings to the tap community. I have made life long friends in my tap family and continue to improve my vocabulary with every passing year! Long live the ATDF!

I went in as a tap teacher wanting to learn new things to take back to my students and I have not only learnt new aspects of tap, I have a whole new network of people with the same love of tap to connect and share beyond the festival.

Every year I learn more and am inspired by teachers and other students to continue my education of this wonderful craft.

What a wonderful learning curve! My first experience at jamming and at a cutting contest; a confidence boosting week. A must for a dedicated tapper!

The chance to work with such amazing tap dancers and be surrounded by a group of people who love tap as much as I do is surreal.

The Australian Tap Dance Festival is one of my favourite weeks of the year. Be prepared to work hard, sweat and have cramps in muscles you didn’t even know you had, but it is all worth it.

Tap Fest has help me broaden my tap vocab and become a more engaged tapper with
tap of the past, present and to help imagine the future
