Why did you join the committee?
Haha, funny story! I used to work at one of the venues where the ATDF events are held. I helped wherever I was needed. One day, Ella approached me and asked if I knew anyone who could stage manage and call the show. Without hesitation, I offered to do it myself. Since then, I’ve been actively involved, offering my assistance whenever and wherever it’s needed. It’s been a great experience, and I’ve loved being a part of such a vibrant and dynamic community.

Highlight from an ATDF Event:
One of the highlights of the ATDF events is catching up with and seeing the amazing faculty. It’s always a pleasure to reconnect with such talented and inspiring individuals, and their passion for tap dance never fails to energize and motivate everyone involved.
Cooper's story
Cooper grew up in regional Queensland, where he began dancing at the age of seven. He went on to train full-time at En Pointe Dance Centre. While Cooper was training he also studied Stage Craft, Costume Design, Lighting Designing as well as Audio and Visual Effects for the stage.
In 2019 Cooper accepted a scholarship to The Australia Ballet School, Full-Time Program. Where he recieved elite training and coaching. In 2022 Cooper accepted a full scholarship position at Jason Colemans’ Ministry of Dance (JCOMD) Full Time Program, where he also worked as a Junior School Program Administration Assistant, Summer School & Festival Coordinator, MOD STAR (International Training Program) & Dance Circuit Director, Personal Assistant and Head of Communications and Networking at Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance.
During Coopers time at Jason Colemans’ Ministry of Dance, he organised numerous of corporate events. From “My Room Children Charity Gala” and AFL Grand Final performance with Robbie Williams.
Cooper than went to work with Toowoomba Ballet Theatre, were he performed in several productions. But also helped Stage, Produce and Stage Mange numerous Productions and Community Events. Cooper also organised the Toowoomba Ballet Theatre Touring Company around South East and Regional Tour.
Coopers has come onboard with The Australian Tap Dance Festival to help organise and produce world class Production, Showcases, Performances and Galas.
