Brief info

Bethany, originally from regional Victoria, began dancing at just 3 years old, with a passion for tap dancing that has only grown over the years. Now 21, Bethany has been apart of the Australian Tap Dance Festival since 2017. In 2019, she earned the title of ‘Future of Tap’ winner and, in 2023, was selected for the mentorship program ‘Bridging the Gap’ under the guidance of Garry Stock.

Bethany was a dedicated member of The Tap Project, training under Jack Egan for 3 years, and had the honour of representing Australia at the IDO Commonwealth Cup in South Africa in 2019, where she was coached by Shane Preston. She is also a former member of Garry Stock’s, Studio Stocks before pursuing opportunities abroad.
In October 2024, Bethany relocated to Barcelona, Spain, after being accepted into The Professional Tap Training Program – Advanced Level at Escola Luthier De Música/Dansa. Here, she trains rigorously five days a week, primarily focusing on tap dancing while expanding her knowledge across other dance styles and music theory.

During her time in Spain, Bethany has had the opportunity to study with world-renowned tap dance artists, including two international guests. She spent a month with Sarah Reich including participating in the Tap Music Project intensive, and is currently training with Derek Grant this trimester. She has also had the privilege of learning from a diverse group of influential teachers, including Guillem Alonso, Estefania Porqueras, Ruben Sanchez and Clara Martinez, among many others.

Bethany is thrilled to be joining the faculty this year, eager to share the wealth of knowledge and experience she has gained from her diverse training and international experiences.
