Brief info

Jayden began his dance journey at the age of 9, training in tap, acrobatics, jazz, ballet, and contemporary through Michelle Slater Performing Arts Studio. He progressed through the Comdance Tap Syllabus, earning the highest marks in Australia for the final grade. Currently, Jayden has represented the tap workshops for Comdance Born to Perform across Melbourne, Tasmania, and New Zealand, and serves as a representative for the Comdance Born to Perform competitions.

For the past six years, Jayden has been a performer at the Australian Tap Dance Festival and was a faculty member for 2024. His dedication to tap dance led him to expand his expertise internationally, attending the Luther Tap Festival in Barcelona, spending time with some of the world’s leading tap artists including the likes of Anthony Morigerato, Sarah Reich, Daniel Borak and Mark Mendonca. In 2025, he performed in the premiere of Melancholia, presented by Studios Stocks.

Jayden also created a contemporary tap dance piece for the show Grounded in 2019. He has performed in the musical “Gypsy” through the Williamstown Musical Theatre Company in 2014. He was in Nickelodeon’s Slimefest as a backup dancer for Timmy Trumpet. Furthermore, he has performed in many various gigs around Melbourne and Sydney. Jayden's development as a dancer has been shaped by various influential teachers, which has greatly formed his unique rhythmic style. He teaches and choreographs for numerous dance and performing arts schools throughout Melbourne, contributing to the growth and development of the next generation of dancers.
